The vision of this site originally was to open up the opportunity for people who were serious about serving Christ to create and manage their own blogs on this system. However, there was a shortage of participants and I started to seek God about how this web site might best be used to lead others to him.
Awhile back, I was approached by a Christian organization involved in child evangelism, and they wanted to buy the domain name from me. I prayed. I prayed for wisdom what to do. For many years my heart beat strongly for this kind of ministry as I served as a children’s bus pastor for about ten years and had experienced frustration with people who claimed to be Christian but were so very disobedient and hypocritically unfaithful to Jesus’ command to us to let the little children come unto Him and do not forbid them. Yet, there were a bunch of arrogant, whiney slobs in the church that seemed to think the children and their leaders should be chased away so they could sit around and do nothing but feel holy. And after awhile I began to wonder why I was making such a sacrifice to bring the children around these pathetic losers. Should I have expected these children to learn what Christianity was by having them come into a place where the people literally warred against everything Jesus stood for in the name of Christianity?
So, when this organization approached me asking to buy the domain name, I wondered if I should just give it to them. I knew in my heart I did not want to be a road block to a group that would minister to children and lead them to Christ. In fact, if anything I would probably want to jump right in with two feet and do whatever it takes to help.
But, did it minister to children? Did it lead children to Christ?
In this day, we often see a very sick rendition of Christianity all around us. Televangelists faking miracles in the most stupid and insulting way and whining about how the whole world is against them and how bills are mounting and about how they are going to have to go off the air in many places if the people won’t give more. Then we hear about some of these guys blowing God’s money on mansions and extravagent times in Vegas on adulterous rendezvous.
But, then there is the regular church — the normal one where the people talk about God, believe in God, say they love God and are friendly and loving and committed to others, and yet there is a sort of half-heartedness about it, or perhaps rather a whole-hearted facade on Sunday and a worldly time throughout the rest of the week. Every week they come to church admitting how they struggle with sin, and some think that’s a good thing — a lot better than giving into sin. But, so many do. So many of us do.
So, then what kind of Christianity are we teaching in the church? The divorce rate is just as high in the church as it is outside. A large percentage of women and girls who get abortions are said to be Christians. And I even knew some pastors personally who had dumped their wives for affair partners and some who had gone back into the ministry with only an outward facade of repentance since the affair never really ended but only progressed onward to an adulterous marriage committing themselves forever more to a life of adultery. And somehow staying in this mode of living had somehow become regarded as possible alongside true repentance.
Yet, going back to children’s ministries, I wondered how it would be possible to minister to children without giving a valient effort to help save the marriages of their parents, without crying out against this harlotry of marital unfaithfulness. How is it that so-called Christian pastors have committed themselves to becoming pimps and liars performing adulterous marriage ceremonies while calling it “holy matrimony”? Has lying to God and pimping for the wayward spouse somehow become “Christian” now? And who is the arrogant butthead who gave himself the authority to do so? Do they really have the stupidity to believe in their heart that God will somehow be persuaded if perhaps it becomes popular here? Is that what happend when Soddom and Gomorrah turned against God?
If we are going to minister to children or anyone at all, we’re going to have to give up the sloppy theology and get into the Word of God. I get really tired of those who claim to be doing this while taking one stand against another directly in opposition to God’s Word. Or they take one part of God’s Word and adamantly and arrogantly insist it says what they are trying to make God’s Word say, and then they speak out against every other scripture in the Bible that proves his or her interpretation wrong. The Bible says, “A” in 200 places, and they swear on a stack of Bibles that it says, “B” because one verse out of the 200 can be twisted to look a little like “A”.
Jesus said except for cause of sexual unfaithfulness, to divorce your spouse and marry another is adultery. Revelations 21:8 says liars, sexually immoral and other kinds of sinners will find their place in the lake of fire. One can securely say this has a firm “thus saith the Lord, Amen” on this. John the Baptist lost his head for telling King Herod it was unlawful for him to have his brother’s wife. John did not even grant Herod and Herodias the honor of calling them married but refused to acknowledge their union, and Herodias is the one who became livid with anger over this.
What would the church do today if a woman left her husband to go with another man and someone told that man, “it is unlawful for you to have that other man’s wife?” Oh, you can bet a flood of pastors would raise up on their jackass honches and crow out Deuteronomy and sneer out, “how dare you judge that sweet and precious couple after all the hell they went through with their painful divorce?” Pastor, if that is your stand, then you can take your place next to the devil in the pit of hell because you are a bold faced liar and you call God a liar and you call God’s Word a lie with every whore coddling statement to this effect that you make and you will not find your place in heaven until the day you repent of this sin and humble yourself before Almight God and ask forgiveness and turn against this sin with at least as much fury as you have defended this lie under your pretense of ministry.
Give up this sin and do it now! You will not be able to stand and hide behind your twisting of Deuteronomy 24:1-4 when God calls you to give an account of how you lied and made it seem to say that which it does not say. You will not be able to hide behind your religious garments and your rituals and all the things you have become accustomed to depending on. Every soul lost to a lie coming from your mouth will call out to God and their blood will be on your hand until you turn from this sin and give it up once and for all.
Most of the divorces in America and in the world today are because Christians will not be faithful to God or honest or courageous. The Bible says we are saved by grace through faith, and somehow the Christian world seems to feel we can be saved without faith? Christian, who is your God? Christian, who is your Lord? Satan or Jesus? Who do you trust? Who do you obey? Do you feel that nodding your head while all eyes are closed lest anyone see you will somehow pass as faith in the eyes of God? Do you think God is really that stupid?
God weeps for your soul. He weeps and cries out for you to give up your sin and take hold of the love and forgiveness offered to you at a very great price.
How is it that this nation has come to live as whores for Jesus? Liars for Jesus? Murderers for Jesus? Cowards for Jesus? Child molesters for Jesus? Oh, thou shalt not judge? Why, take the log out of your eye first! Be tolerant! Be loving! We hear it over and over again. But, how loving is it to lie and comfort one’s best friends into hell lest you lose their friendship by telling them the very truth that may save their souls?
It’s time we get a sense of what it means to be a Christian. Too many Christians have no clue.
